March 2024
A Message from Maggie, AAUW-Wisconsin Board President
Happy March!
Spring officially arrives, we mark St. Patrick Day, and it’s Women’s History Month! Who are some women that have inspired you?
For me, it was Eleanor Roosevelt, Sojourner Truth, Maria Tallchief, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Michelle Obama.
Our annual AAUW-Wisconsin convention is coming soon, with plenty of inspiring speakers and workshops. I hope to see many of you there.
For more inspiration, members of the LaCrosse branch of AAUW have compiled biographies of 31 remarkable women.
Let’s be inspired!

The theme for March 2024, Women’s History Month, as set by the National Women’s History Alliance, is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.” We recognize the women throughout the country who, from all walks of life, lift up others, fight discrimination, and work towards a more equal society. These women are committed to embracing everyone and excluding no one in our common quest for freedom and opportunity.
